New disappointing news from the British economy

As if bad weather was not bad for the economy, the growth of VAT in January, only complicates the situation when it comes to checking whether costs. Today's CBI survey suggests that sales were weak this month, with sales falling to the lowest level since October last year. Placing orders has fallen sharply, so the balance of eight is the lowest since mid-goals. There is nothing surprising in the fact that data on trade cars were very weak against the background of VAT, which is likely to have significant influence on the purchase of consumer durable goods consumption.Sterling was almost indifferent to these data, however, remain a bit timid in the next few weeks, being between the severe inflation and a weak activity (and associated distortions).
